- 1996 - Foundation of IMEDOS GmbH as a start-up company in Weimar by Thomas Riemer, Gerald Floßmann and Dr.-Ing. habil. Walthard Vilser. Dr. Vilser had for many years headed the interdisciplinary working-group of microcirculation of the Ophthalmological Clinic of the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena
- 1997 - New technology for the analysis of retinal vessels, development and launch of the Retinal Vessel Analyzer (RVA), the target group was the research market for ophthalmology
- 1998 - Development and distribution of the Fundus Imaging System Visualis parallel with the vessel analyzer system, used for fundus diagnosis and digital documentation of the ocular fundus
- 2000 - Development of the Dynamic Vessel Analyzer (DVA) for functional analysis of the vessels and of the Static Vessel Analyzer (SVA) for studying the staic state of vessels; both systems make vascular analysis now possible in clinical routine
